ビーウィズは2月9日、あらゆるカースピーカーの能力を簡単・確実に引き出すエレクトロニクス製品・アクセサリー類の新ブランド「PLUG ＆ PLAY」（プラグ＆プレイ）を創設した。
PLUG ＆ PLAYは、全製品を同社が企画・プロデュースおよび音質監修し、品質面でも同社基準をクリアしたうえで商品化。文字通り“プラグ＆プレイ”の手軽さでカーオーディオの高音質化を実現することを目指す。PLUG ＆ PLAYでは、カーオーディオ専門店のほか、自動車用品店や自動車販売店など、幅広い販路を通じて、2019年春より新製品を順次発売する。
「PLUG ＆ PLAY 1080」10ch/8ch DSP Driver（仮称）は、最大8ch分のハイレベル（スピーカー）入力、2ch分のラインレベル入力、96kHz/24bitハイレゾ対応の光デジタル入力、10ch分のラインレベル出力を備えたDSP（デジタルサウンドプロセッサー）と、定格出力50W/ch（4Ω、RMS、無歪）の高音質8chデジタルパワーアンプを統合したDSPドライバー（DSP・パワーアンプ一体機）の上級モデル。全ch独立式の31バンド・パラメトリックEQやクロスオーバー、タイムアライメントを含むデュアル32bit処理のハイクオリティなサウンド調整機能（マニュアル方式）を装備し、PC（Windows/Mac両対応）を接続して車室内環境や音質的志向にマッチした緻密なチューニングを実現する。内蔵パワーアンプはブリッジ接続によって定格出力150W/ch（4Ω、RMS、無歪）を発揮するハイパワー4chアンプとしても使用できる。
「PLUG ＆ PLAY 640」6ch/4ch DSP Driver（仮称）は、最大4ch分のハイレベル入力、2ch分のラインレベル入力、6ch分のラインレベル出力を備えたDSPと、定格出力25W/ch（4Ω、RMS、無歪）の4ch高音質デジタルパワーアンプを統合したDSPドライバーのエントリーモデル。全ch独立式の31バンド・パラメトリックEQやクロスオーバー、タイムアライメントを含む統合的なサウンド調整を全自動で行う高精度オートチューニング機構を搭載し、PC（Windows/Mac両対応）と測定用マイクロフォンを接続して、車室内環境に合わせたサウンドチューニングをより手軽かつ迅速に行うことができる。また、コネクターを車両側ハーネスへ接続するだけでインストール作業が完了する車種別専用ケーブルキット（別売）も豊富にラインアップし、取り付け時間および費用を大幅に軽減することができる。
「PLUG ＆ PLAY DSP」8ch DSP Controller（仮称）は、6ch分のラインレベル入力/ハイレベル入力、1系統のAUX入力（2ch）、96kHz/24bitハイレゾ対応の光デジタル入力、および8ch分のラインレベル出力を備えた高性能・高機能な単体型DSPだ。ハイエンド機に迫る高度な調整能力と本格的なサウンドクオリティを備え、PLUG ＆ PLAYやBEWITHブランドのパワーアンプなど、手持ちのハイエンドコンポーネント機器とのシステムアップにも最適。スリーブ構造の高剛性筐体と厚さ32mmの薄型設計により、設置場所を限定しない点も特徴となっている。
「PLUG ＆ PLAY POWER」2ch Power Amplifier（仮称）は、コンパクトながらハイエンド機に迫る高音質を実現し、定格出力80W/ch（4Ω、RMS、無歪）のハイパワーを発揮する超小型2chデジタルパワーアンプ。ブリッジ接続にも対応し、定格出力200W/ch（4Ω、RMS、無歪）のモノーラルパワーアンプとしても使用できる。シンプルなフロント2chシステムから、複数台を組み合わせた全chモノーラルアンプによるマルチシステムまで、多彩なシステムアップに対応する。
新製品はいずれも2019年5月発売予定で、価格は未定。
